JAM Day Center March

In March, the children had a great time at the JAM Day Center. The children come everyday to do their studies and to spend time playing games, watching movies, eating lunch, and building relationships with volunteers.

One special event was the celebration of the International  Women’s Day. The children invited their mothers and grandmothers to the center. They worked hard to prepare poems, songs, and a skit for their mothers. They also played a few games with them. The girls baked some treats and the boys helped prepare the sandwiches. The ladies were grateful for this time with their children and grandchildren. It also gave us the opportunity to build relationships with these ladies.

The whole month children studied really hard, played together nicely, and helped clean up. For all of this they were rewarded with a trip to the Museum of Interesting Science. This museum was hands on and they were able to learn about many different inventions and intriguing things.

We also had guests who were part of the Youngstar training and they shared with the children theatrical Biblical lessons. It was as if we were on the board of the Noah’s Ark during these amazing skits. Through this lesson they learned about how they can receive salvation. Praise God!

Please pray that there will be many more opportunities to share the Gospel with the children in a vivid way and that He will work in their hearts.

Circle of Friends Day Center Reopening

We opened the Circle of Friends Day Center late last winter. The kids came and all were blessed and encouraged. We had Bible lessons, games, crafts, day trips, and other fun times. The also received something to eat and help with their homework.

This summer we had Camp LELA and many of the kids joined us there. This fall we have been in transition and were unable to open the center on the 1st of September.

We are excited to share that we are planning to open the center at our new location in November! Praise God that He has provided us a permanent place for ministry.

Pray with our team as they make plans.

Celebration for Kids

On September 5th, we held a special gathering for the children that live near the Camp LELA property. We wanted to reach out to families and children in this area that we are now based at. We played many games, had relay races, made cotton candy, and we gave gifts including Children's Gospel booklets. Please pray for us as we continue to reach out to those that surround our property.

Day Center 7-11

Even though we now have a break at our Day Center, Circle of Friends, we miss the children so much. They will be at the camp in a few weeks, but we could not wait til then or until the lst of September to see them. We invited the children to stop by on Saturday. It was a nice day filled with memories of the last year and plans for the new school year. We ate tasty food and played games. We thank God for bringing those children and giving us opportunities to build friendship with them.

Easter

We had great time celebrating Easter and sharing the story of why Jesus came to the world. We showed the Super Book series film about Easter. Starting next week we will begin Bible lessons going through The Greatest Journey materials from Samaritan's Purse. After the story children played games, ate cotton candy, and received the gifts from Samaritan's Purse.

Museum 3-27

Circle of Friends children explore the Museum of Applied Sciences. We learned how different mechanisms work, how magicians trick us using physics laws, and many other things. We are grateful for the time together outside of the center.

March 17th Circle of Friends Day Center opens!

Our dream to open a day center has come to fruition. From the beginning of Nasledie Heritage Foundation, we wanted to open a center for children from troubled homes. Our goal was to minister to the children and begin to impact them and their families in a positive way. Often children in troubled homes end up in orphanages, this center is a way to help prevent that from happening.

On March 17th, we opened for the first day. It was a great day for us and for the kids. Children identified as "at risk" were invited through social services and the school system. The first day there were eight children. There was a presentation, clowns, cotton candy, games, and an invitation to the next day.
