On the second day of the Easter half marathon volunteers of Nasledie visited the children in the Kotovsk and Borshi orphanages.
The volunteers did an excellent job with this project! We want to thank everyone who helped with this event!
Pray that the children would begin to grab hold of the truth that was shared with them.

Day #3 Izmael, Borshi, and Kotovsk
The team gathers around 8:00 AM every morning and prepares to head out by 9:00.
One team headed to Izmael...orphanage is the furthest away from Odessa and required a little trip through the neighboring country of Muldova.
The other team visited the children in Borshi and Kotovsk.
All week long the team has spent time with the kids writing down their prayer requests. We will gather on Saturday night as a team and spend time praying for their needs. One child writes that he wants the war to stop in Ukraine.
Please pray for our teams as they are out on the road on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Spring Marathon
Spring Marathon brings haircuts to the children in Kotovsk and Borshi. Our hair cutters and trimmers gave 60 haircuts to the children in these orphanages. The team was able to share with the children and have some discussions about Christian values as they waited to get their haircuts.
We also began to distribute the shoes giving 111 pairs in Borshi and 211 pairs in Balta.
Please pray for us as we continue on the Spring Marathon handing out shoes, building relationships with the kids, and cutting hair.

Shoe Adventure
We were blessed with hundreds of pairs of shoes to distribute to the children in the orphanages in Balta 1 and 2, Borshi, Karolina Bugaz, Troitskaya, Pishana, Andreevo - Ivanovko, Nikolaevka, Mikolaevka, Limanskaya, Ananiev, and Zhovten.
Slavik and Vova took a trip to Kiev in the van (praise God for this great blessing) to pick up the shoes. It was a whole day adventure leaving at 3 am and returning at 10 pm.
We will be distributing the shoes to the orphanages over the next several weeks.

Marathon! January 8th - January 12th
We had our 2nd Marathon last week. We gathered a team of 17 people and headed out of Odessa on the 8th. We decided that it was better for the team to stay several hours away at a church, so there was less travel everyday. We praise God for the leaders and team that was willing to spend these days sleeping on the floor on mats and in sleeping bags to serve the Lord.
Four days in a row they traveled to a different orphanage to have a program with the kids and to hand out presents and watches. First was Pishana, then Balta, then Borhsi, and then Andreevo Ivanovko. All of the kids were on holiday break and were so excited to have visitors that came to shower them with love and care.
The day started with a large group that included group games and singing. Then we split into small groups and made cookies and crafts. When we all joined back together we shared a little about the Christmas story and had an interesting skit.
The last part, which was the best for everyone, was the presents! Praise God for all those presents that were collected and for the friends in the US that sent watches for the kids.
