Sidewalk Sunday School September Update

Every Sunday the team gathers the children in the courtyard of a troubled neighborhood. They play games, sing songs, do crafts, make tasty treats, listen to Bible lessons, and spend time getting to know one another. The amount of children has grown over the past two years and now we always attract a group of spectators. We praise God for the opportunity to minister to so many children.

In September, we had one day that was about the 10 Commandments. We had been studying them with the children over the past several months and we wanted to have one day were we joined all the lessons together. We dressed up for the kids in fun costumes and we had a interesting contest. On the behalf of Moses, the kids needed to find the missing tablets and put together the commandments. They all remembered the commandments from previous lessons. They all received treats and prizes at the end.

On this day, a mother of one of the girls that has becoming to our lessons for a long time prepared for us tasty pancakes. She wanted to thank us for the time we spend with her daughter. We were blessed and encouraged by this. We hope and pray that through this ministry many parents will also learn about God as the seeds are sown into their children. Thank you for your prayers and financial support for this ministry.
