Marathon Day 5...Karolina Bugaz!

WE MADE IT! What a great week it was! We finished the marathon today as we visited our last orphanage of the week. Karolina Bugaz is located just over an hour from Odessa on the Black Sea. It was nice to have a short trip today. The team was just as full of energy as any other day. We had the same program as yesterday and the kids enjoyed it.

One of the most impactful things this week was seeing so many faces day after day. In the Odessa Oblast there are 5,811 orphans. We saw around 10 percent of these children this week. There are over 100,000 children living in orphanages and boarding schools in Ukraine. Approximately 30,000 of those are available for adoption and have no family ties. For team members, it is overwhelming to see face after face that seems to be in a place of no hope and each one needs to be loved. Today we were preparing to leave and one team member broke down and started crying. She didn't want to leave and say goodbye to these children that she had a heart for.

May God break our hearts for what breaks His.

A few of the faces of the Karolina Bugaz orphanage....

These are just of few of the thousands of faces of children that are longing to be loved and to be known. Pray with us as we try to reach them to give them the most important love...the love of God.
