A small team of 8 volunteers visited with the children in the Kotovsk orphanage. There are32 boys and 8 girls that have come from Eastern Ukraine. They lived through the stress of seeing a war zone and they need even more love, care, and attention.
We had program full of activities we played games, sang songs, made a craft, had a sports competition, Biblical lesson, and time to discuss in small groups.
The small group time is the best as it gives us the opportunity to get to know them better and to learn about their dreams, hobbies, hopes, and worries.
The trip was really blessed. We spent great time and the smiles on the children faces have inspired us and given us a desire to come back and see them again.
